Review of The FInish Line Blanket - Via Customer email

2/28/2019

We received the nicest email from one of customers regarding their Bibs2Bags blanket and received her permission to share on our blog...
Hi,
I wanted to write to you to let you know how absolutely THRILLED I am with the blanket I bought from Bibs2Bags.  I don’t have a blog or any other such place to provide this review, and this is not meant to discredit anyone else, but I feel compelled to point out certain differences and let you know why I feel my Bibs2Bags blanket is far superior than the blanket I purchased from Project Repat.
So I am simply writing this to you and feel free to share as you wish.

The Ordering Process:

  • Bibs2Bags made ordering very simple: I selected my desired size, placed my order and mailed my shirts
  • Project Repat:  I had to cut my own shirts, place them as I wanted them and send in with pics so they could assemble as I asked. (This process may have changed since I made my purchase)

The Layout:

  • You sent me pictures all along the way.  I could tell that you took great care in organizing them not only according to what I stated was important to me, but also by color and artwork to maximize the entire blanket’s beauty.  And sent me back as many pictures as I wanted to see before you started putting it together.
  • The one thing I absolutely LOVED was that while the basic premise is a 12x12 configuration,  you didn’t confine yourself to a 12x12 square.
  • Based upon stuff on my shirts, like perhaps the sleeve, or a long logo that went across the entire width of the shirt, you made squares 4x4, 4x12, 4x8, etc.  This added so much more to my blanket than just Square, Square, Square.
  • To me, this was the most important difference. It is like one big Tetris game!

The Construction:

  • My Bibs2Bags construction is much sturdier.  Did you put something on the shirts?  I can tell that the shirts on my Project Repat blanket are just the shirts.
  • When I washed my Project Repat blanket, the shirts pulled and puckered a bit, causing a gradual misshapening.  Yours did not do that.  The shirts are maintaining their integrity and "Flatness" (if that makes any sense) .
  • I'm also afraid that as the shirts continue to pull, the stitching will eventually breakdown.  That's not to say that I think the stitching is bad at all, but any kind of constant stress will break down anything, no matter how good.
  • My Project Repat Blanket's front and back is also not tethered to each other anywhere other than the border.  When I washed the blanket, it turned all topsy turvy and the border creases disappeared.  It took me FOREVER to get it back to how it was supposed to be.
  • Both are blankets (as opposed to quilts) and arrived as advertised, but I don't know, yours has something more - maybe heft is the word?  I feel like your blanket could be my bed comforter whereas my other on is a throw blanket for the couch.
Thank you for taking such care in my blanket!
I hope this email brightens your day as I wrote it
with all my sincerest appreciation for your hard work!
