One Bag,
Many Achievements
The Bibs2Bags Story
In 2014, my sister-in-law Lisa, an avid runner, challenged our family to find someone who could convert her running bibs into a tote bag.
Unfortunately, after an exhaustive search, we didn't find anything to fit the bill. So I told her I would take a crack at it. After about a month of trial and error, I developed a bag worthy of her hard work and dedication, and more importantly, one that she liked.
What I didn't expect was the overwhelming interest the bag drew. Anywhere Lisa went, whether to the grocery store, work, or races, everyone wanted to know where she got her bag. When she told me of the incredible interest, I decided to start Bibs2Bags. Lisa mailed me virtually all of her bibs, medals and ribbons and asked me to make all different types of bags - as many as her bibs would allow.
As I was looking to make a switch from the corporate environment, I quickly got to work developing my product line. Though I am not a runner (I did play rugby), I realize how important it is to savor one's accomplishments. Considering the time, dedication and personal sacrifices you make to achieve your goals, it is my mission to handcraft a unique bag worthy of your triumphs.
As you probably know, no one person has cornered the market on good ideas. With that in mind, I am proud to have my wife Erika, a Group Fitness Instructor, and my sister-in-law Lisa, a Registered Dietitian, as members of the Bibs2Bags team. They are integral to the success of the company. I count on them to point me in the right direction regarding what works, what doesn't, what's most wanted/needed in a bag among many other things.
